Good luck..seem to be rare as hens teeth :P I've been looking for a while too for manifolds etc to retrofit to convert a 4Y to efi. Ive only once seen 3Y-E parts on trademe, $30 for everything except ecu..shame it was pickup only and miles away from me

Haha true, what a score. What was there? Looked like pretty much everything required bar ecu, loom, and fuel pump. What about running an aftermarket ecu thats what I was thinking of doing

Ah ok yeh that'd make it an interesting project..don't know how well the engine would handle it but supposedly there are a few Y series turbos out there so could be doable. I was thinking about one of those megasquirt ecu's. If you are handy with electronics you can buy it as a kitset for like 3hundy. Are you working with a 3Y or 4Y ?

3y in my 2wd xtra cab
Should be fine since the compression ratio is so low and there pretty bulletproof.
Intercooling and a good tune are the key.
I was going to use a megasquirt but they need a bit of work to run nicely with the VR sensor output from the dizzy and can be full of little niggles.
Will run a Free EMS ecu once the kit comes out later in the year, its the brainchild of a local guy who built a megasquirt but was not happy with the problems encounterd.

Handy bit of info there thanks for that. Yeah pretty robust motors..just thirsty and gutless :P Have to keep an eye out for another manifold setup for myself now. FreeEMS definately looks like a good project, havent had a decent read yet but always interested in electronics projects..built a piggyback mixtrure controller for my skyline a few years back
