got a 3 liter v6 surf that im thinking about adding a sc14 supercarger(yes i know about the headgasket issues...) but with the vaccuum operated add and what not on the front diff,is it going to try and dissingage the front end when the motor is making boost? due to the lack of vacuum?
cheers Alistair
sc14 in a surf?
sc14 in a surf?
modified surf, hardly drive it seem to keep modifying it....
Re: sc14 in a surf?
Add a vac canistor with non return valve and run the servo off that

Re: sc14 in a surf?
would there be room to add a SC14? also its a bit under sized for that motor.
TRD used eatons (i think) in their kit for those motors.

guys advertising sc14's on trade me reckon up to 4.0 litre. not true???
Re: sc14 in a surf?
the supercharger comes off a 2 litre engine. it may flow enough for a 3 litre but it will be spinning a lot more rpm to get some decent boost. they tend to make a ton of heat so you need to intercool somehow. high rpm and high heat are not good for those rotors.
i'm sure you could fit it on a 4 litre but how much boost you make and how long it lasts is debatable.
the eatons, like what the holden engines have, is far more efficient and makes less heat.

Ran one on a 3.8v6 at 5psi. No problems, had it for 4 odd yrs

yep me too3.8 in fact on an engine that (i belive) pedro put in a pajero like 10 years ago?? Now in a hilux.
I guess for offroad and low boost isnt really asking much of it
