Saw this in a local paper we get and wondered if the trip is any good??
It says that they have had up to 400-500 vehicles some years so surely someone on here has been on it?
It says its a fundraiser run by the Methven Lions, March 3rd-4th.
Im guessing its really a trip for 'shiney' 4wds but thinking about going maybe, scenery sounds good, any comments from previous drivers?

Bit more info from the article i read, trip runs on 2 days, you can go either -Sat 3rd or Sun 4th March.
It takes 3 hrs and begins at the corner of Blackford Road, Mt Hutt.
You pay $50 entry fee here and get an information sheet about the trip and then drive as you please i think.... not going to type any more of the article but - amazingspace.co.nz has more info apparently.

Well had a few spare hours today so took this trip round the back country, couldnt have got a better day after the Saturday trip was cancelled, on the Sunday it was sunny, calm and clear for great views.
Not much mud there but very damp after a nice wet, dull summer that we have had in this part of NZ.

Cheers for the pics, looks like it was a great days outing. Awesome looking country.
Toyota Landcruiser FJ40, front and rear lockers, 35" simex.
Toyota FJ45 build in progress.
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set.
