How does that work with if you were to actually go for cert, with covering the rear wheels etc?


Still got heaps to do on it :wink:

Never understood not being able to have any tread past the guard when you can drive around in something like this:
Everything looks cooler all open and exposed

I believe with hot rods you have to be a member of a hotrod club for X amount of time e.t.c

Haa, glad Im not building a hot rod :roll:
Anyway should have the deck done today. I guesstimated about 20hrs to do this, then I got carried away and am up to 37hrs so far with about 8 to go :roll:

I got them from Tranzquip in Rangiora. Payed way too much for them but then again Im an instant gratification sort of fella :oops: :mrgreen:

good to see you doing one for your self tom. 60 choped looks cool. tho I would of left about 4 inces more xtra cab on there. need to carry so much gear when doing seriously hard stuff.
what sort of bender do you use. the normal push crush we can afford or you got something fancy.
dam just saw you goit to make money for a bit. dont give up on it get back to it asap

looks like theres plenty of room on the tray for a box if the cabs too small eh; your bar work came out awesome

Nothing expensive or fancy. Just spent abit of time tickling the slippers and former. It cranks out consistant bends so Im happy :wink:

tho I would of left about 4 inces more xtra cab on there. need to carry so much gear when doing seriously hard stuff


This did cross my mind but in the end I thought f$%k it. :roll: I have a couple of plastic army morter boxes round here somewhere which will do the job. :wink:

Just got the rear driveshaft back. Its the first time I've driven it at a speed other than limping around the yard :mrgreen: Tad scary with no front shocks tho :roll:

the one thing that always cracked me up with mine is the hole in the front apron for a crank handle. Can you imagine ever try to turn over the 4.0ltr nchor by hand? :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

yeh we tried it with our 60. Made up this strong as handle. no way could even two of us crank it over :lol:

Coming along nicely Nibster 8) Rear end is all sorted, even got a back window now which should stop the neighbours f#$king cat sleeping in it! :evil:
The to do list looks something like this........
*Rebuild front swivel housings and install high steer
*Whip up some seat mounts
*Timber the deck
*Turbo
*Sliders and more bar work

Im sure I've probably forgotten a few things :roll:
