87 2wd hilux - raising the front

Hey guys

Just wondering if anyone knows the easiest way to raise the front on a 2wd hilux. The torsions only let me drop it down, there isn't enough thread to go the other way.

Would it make sense for me to get new torsion bars from pickapart off a surf and put them in? Or would i need to get some other parts with it too?

Probably a noob question but i never had to raise anything before with torsion bars so not sure what is the easiest and cheapest way. Not worried about using old parts or having a crappy ride, its just for a backyard hack and its more just to learn anyway.

how high do you want your 2wd to go

most torsion bars can be removed and rotated in there spline a couple of notches to get more adjustment.

oh sweet i didnt realise i could spin them through, thanks! will give it a go this weekend.

monaro, not much maybe 2-3 inches max. i picked up a set of 2nd hand 31s so itll be a good laugh.
