questions about Landcruisers

looking at getting a Landcruiser for my next truck but would like to know the following

difference between gx and vx ?

manual or auto box ?

are all of them full time 4wd and if not whats better ?

but also considering a patrol/safari :P

quite fancy this one

GX is base model, VX has more bells and whistles.

Personal choice on that one, I like my auto...But others like the manual. Don't think it really matters.

I believe they are all full time 4x4....But you can get a kit to change the center diff.

but also considering a patrol/safari :P

If you might eventually want diff locks, go 5 seater with factory ones, rather than 8 seater without.

Cazuse you can always add the thrid row of seats

WJW did this and its a great addon for all the kids :P

Lockers if you pay someone for ARB = 3K+
Third row of seats 1-1.5K excluding cert

GX is still pretty well specced! Even the more basic RV model has A/c and the electrics.

Its the DX with barn rear doors that is the basic model....
SWB V6 Paj with one or two mods ;)

a mate just bought a rare beast
no flares / no turbo/ jap import / auto / gunmetal - I would have called it a GX but nothing add's up

Its as ordered - nobody has toyed with it - yet

Strange combo but what the guy wanted

Oh & OP

Im on my 2nd , had a few others in between & nothing like em
Kms / Price seem high on that one mind you

You could pay me that for mine lol

they not all full time . I got a 90 vx .5 speed factory part time 1hdt.
90 Landcruiser Vx 4.2 turbo 5 speed part time 4wd 75mm lift air lock in rear 35 Wranglers snorkel swaybar disconnects
