started on my steel winch drum and grapped a front diff housing cheapish

going to add superior plate kit to it , its ordered and on its way
and part one of the drum

10mm plate and 80mm id heavy wall pipe 40mm longer overall
may convert to drop boxs on front suspension too

well so far, second gear 3500 rpm rear locker only 15lbs boost, climbed like a goat sling'n mud to the sky

Hi Coxsy just curious why you are going for the steel drum I have never heard issues with them which is surprising being alloy, heard of the gear sets but not the drum. Good to see your still playing around.

if you get the drum shaft outa an mk/mq pto winch its 50mm wider than the gq will save alot of time/hassle but will be off center as well the bonus its interchangeable with the gq winch

yer but still a ali drum, steel is better for plasma rope

well in small bits, turned up one end flange, decieded on how to do bushing ect then decieded drum centre pipe to large, so will down size, so need new end flange cut, mod drawing for bushes, :roll:

Superior engineering brace kit arrived, got the low down how to install,so at some stage will give that a go

so its weld 25mm, let in go cold, weld another bit. with two earth leads and throw the hand peice from one end of my work bay the other, for a quick weld getting it done
