The one I went on had a really late model Merc softroader crossover thing that made everything look easy - had like 18" wheels & low pro tyres

They have to cover their asses I spose.
Besides a lot of shiny day time drivers have no idea of how to drive off road.

Hi All,
I'll be attending this with a load of Photographers as will a second 4WD.
If anyone has any thoughts for any exciting photo opportunities during this or is planning on doing something interesting the photographers should be present for drop me a line here or on 027 300 5838.
Actually that goes for any 4WD type event but will probably post specifics elsewhere.
I'm in the process of making my Mistral a little more offroad friendly.
Will be sporting a fresh 2" lift and brand new set of Bridgestone Duellers on the day, Vehicle is Green (aren't they all?).
After the safari we are planning on missioning a bit further to catch the sunset somewhere scenic, would love any suggestions on any tracks within an hour of the end of the safari.
Have being trying to contact the organisers to find out exactly where it finishes but no joy.
