Converting electronic speedo drive to cable - Hilux

Post by Mud Camper »

I'm installing an R151f gearbox into an LN65 (with small block chev). I think I've got everything sorted, except for the speedo drive. The R series transfer case has an electronic speedo - my old truck is cable drive.

Anyone done this conversion that can point me in the right direction?

some of the r151's had cable speedo's (mine does) you may just need to find the right parts and swap them over?

I've never looked at an electronic speedo model to see how they differ but sing out if you want a pic of my cable one.

Great - thanks Lowlyf. I didn't realise there were cable driven ones. I'll see what I can track down at the wrecker. Cheers!
