Hi all,
I have a 95 Cherokee which has developed a vibration at the front end at around 80k, I replaced the drivers wheel hub/bearings as they were buggered but it hasn't fixed it.. I can feel the vibration through the steering, it is also really noisy!!, It doesn't appear to be the tyres as I cant hear it on the passenger side.. any ideas??
replace passenger side hub?
front driveshaft??
Cheers

Re: Vibration at front end
drop the front drive shaft and go for a drive......jack it up and see how much movement ya have in the other side hub....both can give ya a vibe
v8 tj...luvs the gas......
Re: Vibration at front end
My thoughts... I've recently had 3 vehicles develope front end vibs, all have been tyre problems. Don't rule them out without proving it, try swapping them with rears maybe.
If you break it... build it stronger.

Re: Vibration at front end
my xj developed the mean death wobble at that speed, i also noticed at the time that when i backed down my drive and off the kerb i could hear a clunk.
I researched the USA forums and it was suggested that it was the control arm bushes excessively worn.
I replaced the worn out lower control arm bushes and the clunking went and so did the wobble.
just my 2c
