LJ78 4X4 and diff lock not working helppp!

Post by madmax120 »

Cant for the life of me figure out why my 4x4 isn't working.. Everything is on as should be but the front driveshaft wont go!! It has electronic hubs but the pins seem to be engaging fine. Its also got the diff lock option with a switch and i cant get that going either? Any suggestions to try to get it going? Cheers

May be pissing into the wind here but dont these have the electric actuator on the side of the gearbox? My mate had an electric actuator on his truck seize up, removed it, sprayed (drowned) with Electra-clean and shes good as new

no its a vacuum diaphragm, so if vacum is geting down to diaphragm suck on pipe to unit and see if there is resistance. if you can pull air thru it diaphragm has a hole in it. buggered. heard there prone to failure but not sure if its seizing or diaphragm that is the issue.
