FS: 1985 LN60 Hilux Surf

Post by Sleepn »

Time to sell my Surf, shes been well loved over the years, 290,000km on the clock, had a replacement engine about 10,000km ago, have a whole spare engine in parts, all it needs is a set of new rings, has a near new aftermarket head that goes with it. Spare rear axle, heaps of spare bits like turbos etc, alternator, random bits and pieces.

Running the original 2L-T engine, has twin batteries, snorkle, bigger exhaust, has a LSD in the front and rear, W56 gearbox, solid front axle, currently sitting on 33x12.5xR15 wheels, can be sold for less without them, or I have a set of Silverstone MT-117 Extremes in 35x11.5xR15, have taken a couple of photos of it with them on the front, never taken it anywhere with them on, probably needs the diff moved forward 50mm at the front to fully utilise them.

Body work is a little rough, rust has been repaired around a couple of sills and fully treated. Has a huge front bullbar on it, you'd be doing extremely well to ever damage it, made from I-Beam and 6mm steel RHS, rear bumper is made from 6mm rhs too. Has extended shackles in the rear, 2" body lift, CD player, 6x9's, turbo timer... Any questions please ask, open to offers at this stage, will put on trademe before long, would love some opinions as to what you think it might be worth.

Will have new wof and reg when sold.

Located in Christchurch

Thanks

Ah yep, I'm a bit new to the modified 4WD certing, brought it mainly as is. It doesn't run 35's, I only put them on out at the farm today, I guess the 33's still need doing to?

No engine has been transplanted, its a factory 2L-T

Some more photos guys.

Couple of things I forgot to mention, has a "raw" front steering damper, and also the rear axle is from a later model surf so its a bit wider than the standard one. These photos hopefully give a better overview of the exterior condition none the less, only reason for selling is I'm buy my old mans 03 Lux, can't afford to keep both or I'd love to hang onto this old girl.

Put the 35's on the rear today just to test them out, manages full flex in the rear with no rubbing what so ever, its only the in front it rubs a bit on full flex, could easily be fixed however if you wanted to run 35's.
