I am new to 4X4's & have been offered a jap import 2003 pajero at a good price however the owner has told me it does not have a LSD. How will this effect it's ability to go off road?
I won't be doing anything too serious, a bit of hunting & taking the family out.
Any help especially from people that may have a 4x4 without a LSD would be great.

it'll be fine mate

Re: No LSD diff
If its a facelift it should come with traction control tjat can brake each wheel individually. This acts similar to an lsd/locker by slowing down the free spinning wheel. Npt sure how well it works.

No it's not the facelift, was wanting to know how much of an advantage having a LSD would be over not having one, if it will only be a slight disadvantage I'm sure I could live with it.
Re: No LSD diff
Seem to remember something about a common brake problem with pajero's around that year, do a quick search on google ... from memory its not a cheap fix apparantly

I noticed a good difference in my vitara between an lsd and an open diff. You can actually get factory rear lockers for those pajero's.
