Do you want to fit a spare tyre to a swing out carrier on the rear?
There is factory bracing inside the body to support the carrier, if retro fitting the carrier the factory bracing isn't there.
I have a tailgate bare shell and may still have a tyre carrier.

yeah, its a lot harder than just bolting it on (if you want it to stay on)

I`ve got a carrier and attachment (not tailgate) here too. Auckland

Not an easy job .
You have to take off most of the rear interior (both sides)
You need the bracket thats inside the right guard ..this will give you the support you need to hold it in place....youll have to cut the bracket up to make it fit.
You need to mount the bracket before you put the new tail gate on as there are 2 bolts to go in that are hidden by the tail gate.
You will also have to sort out a way to get your reversing lights to go again ....currently they will be beside your number plate....will have to go in either the brake/indicator unit or a seperate light.
You will have to move the key from old tail gate to new tail gate...its in a different position & the fitting is different ( i changed the tumbler from 1 to the other)
I also changed the glass over so the VIN number in rear glass matched my VIN number.

I built the swing arm into the rear bar, made life a lot easier. Window still never really worked right though.
