aircon removal 95 escudo
is there a thread or book some where that will tell me how to take the aircon out without smashing it to bits or losing the gas mtor is a h20a
Re: aircon removal 95 escudo
Not sure what you mean, everything unbolts? I heard you should get the gas removed professionally, not sure why.
It's bloody tight but can be done.
Take the front grill off the truck.
Remove fan belts.
Undo the viscous fan.
Undo and remove fan shroud together with the fan.
Remove water resivoir.
Remove your main radiator (hoses off and 2 bolts at the top of the radiator).
Undo the and remove air con radiator.
Undo and remove air con pump.
I don't know what needs to be done about the fan belt but a shorter one might do the trick.
Does the pump still work?

Re: aircon removal 95 escudo
your viscous fan hub is probably poked, solve the problem instead of trying to mask it.
Re: aircon removal 95 escudo
Removing your aircon wont help. I know of one truck that ran cooler up hill with the aircon on because it has a electric fan to assist with cooling the aircon radiator. Turned out the viscous fan was stuffed and not working at all. No point in removing a perfectly good item, find the fault.
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed

When you start the car from cold it should roar for about 30 seconds then quieten down. Also when the temperature starts to rise you should hear it start to roar again.

Another one here for the viscous fan coupling - it will be poked and need replacing.
