Adjusted F + R left hand wheel bearings on the cruiser , and almost finished replacing the fibreglass flares with rubber ones (for WOF). Also when doing a service at Ricks, didn't tighten the oil filter enough and spewed 2 litres of oil on the workshop floor. Serves me right for doing a service at midnight on a Friday...

Correctamundo... reminds me I must get around to selling it... needs some suspension work and I don't have the time/inclination to sort it out.

Definitely a leak, can see it... but it also needs a new set of spheres... is like driving a pogo stick, I shit you not... still for someone it will be a good buy... 4-5hundy to buy 5-6hundy to suss out the suspension/get wof... goes mint other than that :)

that thing was alwas a little odd to me in the back. new spheres ready to go are only $80 each and it's got a near new accumulator on it. where's it leaking? if you spend a little time o it you'd get a good $1500 for it surely.

It is leaking out the front, near the sphere (down the bottom, hydraulic fluid of some sort by the looks?) and the pump is going like a crazy thing... slightest of bumps sends it off on a hopping spree... throwing you around the car (I shit you not)... let alone at m/way speeds.

I should try and fix it but the internet is less than helpful... seems it could be any number of things and a bit hard to diagnose without replacing shit hoping for the best... I don't want to throw money at it... although I suspect it is likely something silly :/

weird. probably an easy fix. haven't seen one do the bounce thing hardout. when spheres go flat the suspension's rock solid at all heights. leak could be as simple as a return line. it's still got heaps of fluid yeah? so pump is cutting in and out rapidly? sounds like another dead accumulator sphere perhaps.
I could point you in the direction of a few geezers but all will likely cost you moneys. Israel at, i think, conti cars, might be able to lend some advice. alternatively david jones at autofrance.

so much off topic!

I know... so much spam... oh well, nearly next weekend so fred no longer matters :)

hmmm... I might have to have a proper look at it over the weekend if I get annoyed with the Lada... if it is just an accumulator it might be worth a punt... will see what I can see :)

yeah man. they're a pretty basic beast. any accumulator sphere will work so get a newish looking one from PAP if you think that is the cause of some issues. bouncy rear could be to do with spheres or something. could be rear arm bearing related. if it's got mega camber on the rear then they may have collpased. I'm sure there's xantia spheres on the back or somethign weird on that thing.
for the leak, basically degrease as much as you can then see if you can see where it's coming from.
che.
http://www.bxclub.co.uk/ is a lush source of info. the aussie based sites are ham as for DIY info, though. I'd come have a geeze if I were local to you.
if you're low as on fluid then top that up first. think pete has a 20litre of the shit up your way

Camber and everything all looks legit... any trick to removing accumulator/I'm 100% noob with this french stuff...

yeah pump is going about every 3-5 seconds which isn't right... plenty of fluid though and haven't topped it up or anything which seems odd... I guess I should diagnose/repair the leak and work from there. Will read through that site :)
