I have never known a Petrol station to close on a Public holiday.
They are like Dairies... Allowed to trade..

Did a phone around...
Helensville stations seem to be closed. (only 2)

BP in Kumeu is open...6am to 9pm
Which is a bit of a back track.
BP Kumeu
538 State Highway 16, Kumeu 0810

I am sure the Shell (Z) will be open also in Kumeu.

Looked like an awesome weekend!

We had a blast following the TBS teams for a bit of Sat afternoon.

Well done to the organisers and well done to everyone who competed... and managed to stay awake to the finish!

Well im awake just
My youngest son has been itching to wash the truck. (only 6)
And is outside removing some of the mud from the old girl.
What a great event !
Thanks a bunch Monstr and team.....
Also Warren at 4WD Bits for all his time driving and setting tracks..
I am waiting with baited breath for the vids you took......
There were all sorts of trucks there from serious winch challenge trucks to mild decked out club trucks....
I was personally feeling a little intimidated by the std of some of the teams but at the end of the day it was all about having fun and giving it a go.
The tracks were set perfectly for this type of event with excellent hazards without setting you up for a tumble....
I learnt a lot about myself, the truck and my PTO winch setup.....
Thanks also the the sponsors and Rodger with access to the park...
There are a few new tracks in there now !
Great to put some faces to names of ORE members, bit too many to remember
Now its time to start hunting for some parts to repair the truck.
Only major damage is a twisted / bent front leading radius arm.. Think I hit one too many holes on that side

Just got home from spending the day at the park starting the clean up, Had a talk to Roger who asked me to pass on his thanks to all that were there for their attitude and the way they conducted themselves throughout the competition, we are welcome back any time, :) My thanks also to you all for the way you left the pitt areas and the park in general they were spotless .and the way you all contributed in making the event run smoothly .It seems these type of events are going to become quite wanted ,from feed back received so after the dust has settled if its wanted I will look at doing another when it’s a bit wetter Once again many thanks to all that helped in making this what I think was a successful event .and to the out off town teams who made the huge effort to come
Cheers Steve
