Just received my Auber1813 EGT digital gauge, had a quick test and had a play around with the settings seems to be working fine, just need to fit it to the truck, that will be a Sunday job me thinks     .

Also picked up some EFS Elite shocks (rear only at this stage) from Warren at 4WDbits, just waiting on U-Bolts then it will be time to upgrade the rear end.

I will get photo's when I can, I know how you like your photo porn :P

Cheers.

Started making myself a rolling work bench to store the Lada muds (and mini parts etc) under today.

Ready to go to Dad's tomorrow in Mum's Paj with it's new chunky ATs, may even go for a 'test drive' on the farm  8)

During the week, I fixed broken 1/4 window, replaced drivers door handle, and pushed out a few dents from Woodhill teams event, cleaned the top sides. Made up shopping list; radius arm bushes, front and rear brake pads (Woodhill grinding paste strikes again  )
Bolted on some worn 31 muds and went in search of the "red line" in the sand, where we aren't suppose to be
Hmm, I'm starting to see the raisin again

Pulled the front guards bonnet windscreen and old roll cage out of the 40 today. Made it to to drags on sat to watch some seriously quick streetcars. Starting to try and sort out some of the scary wiring on the 40 and hopefully have the body off next weekend before 2 days of motorbike riding

Just to raise the Bar above windscreen wipers and set the standard for the tech level a bit higher I stuck new reduction starters in both trucks over the weekend, the solanoid on the flatdeck starter fell to bits when we stuck it in before Easter, theres usually a few LS starters floating around on TM pretty cheap but of course there wasnt when I looked so I ordered a brand new one and before it arrived a cheapie turned up on TM so that ones now in stock in the spare parts box in the shed for a rainy day, then I went to shift the 40 series out of the shed on Sunday to waterblast 1/2 of woodhill forest off and out of it and it wouldnt start, mostly coz the mud filled fried alternator must have discharged the battery so I gave it a charge up and threw on the reduction starter I brought for my flatdeck 4 years ago when we put the new 350 in and never used coz I had a bit of an Opp's with it but that arrived back from Sigs repair workshop very timely so the crunchy old mud filled chev starter came out and the new reduction one went in... starts good now :D

#Raised My Nissan Mistral 2" with Dobi springs in rear,
#Discovered I had A/M Shocks already, Old Man Emus, apparently these are expensive?
#Tried to raise front by cranking torsion bars, found them at max crank, re-indexed them by 3 splines, managed to half straighten one of the c-clips while removing it, re-shaped it a little too small and spent approx 45 minutes trying to get it back on.
#Had new 31-10.5r15 Bridgestone Desert Duellers 604v's fitted by tonys, upgrade from my un-woffable Goodyear Wrangler 30-9.5r15
#Tried to install a couple of gauges, mechanical water temp and oil pressure, both went badly.
Water temp has a 1/2"NPT fitting which none of the ports in the water system are big enough for, oil temp guage was missing the 1/8"NPT adapter, i discovered this after removing, and loosing, one of the oil pressure senders from the block by the oil filter, dash light still works as normal though... Managed to find an un-needed temperature sensor with 1/8" fitting to plug the oil hole till I could get a new 1/8" adapter for the pressure sensor. Mistral has a very busy engine bay, made for skinnier arms than mine i think.

Finished the weekend by joining the Hawarden Lions club for the Brothers Safari.

Had my GoPro on the roof taking photos all day, time lapse video to follow, some of the stills were at very opportune times.

Be interested to hear what your readings are. I have mine in the same spot. I run around 200 around town and would peak around 500.
