80 Seriers centre diff lock & winch

Hi all

I have just bought a 92 80 series with tripple diff lockers and factory electric winch.

The CDL doesn't engage all the time. Seems to be random when it will ingage or not. It has the 7 pin mod so it wont auto lock when low range engaged. Any ideas where to start would be appresiated.

Also, can a synthetic rope be used on the factory electric winch? Heard if the break is in the drum it can damage the rope.

You probably need to take the CDL motor out and clean it up, before it seizes. Mine was like yours and is now seized.
