80 series 3rd row of seats

Post by CraigS »

Hi

I'm looking at getting the extra row of seats for the vx (factory 8 seater seats).
Can any one tell me if all vx's will have the factory fittings i.e. seat belt mounting holes. Or do these only come out with with the factory 8 seater models.

I'm going to pull the piller covers off to have a look but thought I would ask the question first.

Cheers
Craig

My 70 series was only a 5 seater, but had all the points for the rear dickey seats... Just needed to put holes thru some of the plastic trim and pull off the tabs covering the holes under the carpet...
So you may just be in luck if Mr Toyota did it with yours too.

i looked into doing this with my 80 and found that the rear floor of mine is very different to the seven seater which sits a lot lower. Unfortunately it would not be a simple job to install the 3 row of seats in mine. however i also know of other 5 seaters with the lower floor pan like the 7 seaters.
