Engine conversion

Post by crzyfl »

I am thinking i may need to put in an EFI g16a or g16b motor i want more power (i probably need a little, and want a lot actually). I would feel better if i had more info about what options there are. Ie what fits, what can be made to fit and how. Lightweight is better.
Can the v6 go onto the three speed auto that came with the g16a?
How heavy are the comparatively?
How are they on gas (l/100km) mine gets 11?
What non suzuki engines can be made to fit?

It would be a lot easier to just buy one that already has the motor you want. The motor itself is easy, the wiring would be a bitch of a job :(

I have put a 4agte into my 413 but it was alot of work with all the aftermarket bits, goes really well but A factory SR20DET would be easier and prob around the same power.

8v or 16v g16a or 4age is about as much power as you would want In a 413 or Sammy without swapping diffs and axles. I put a 16v g16a in a Sammy and it went really well, but I did start breaking CV's & axles. I also had a coily Sammy with SR20DET E class, but it had Prado diffs and axles. Sweet truck if you don't want road legal. Pretty sure that It is still for sale on Trademe

Just to clarify, i have a vitara. How hard would it be to convert the g16a or b efi engine loom to go into mine with 8v carbed.
