After mucking around with the standard window switches, and having been quoted too much for second hand replacements, I've done a pinout and rebuilt my drivers door console.
Jaycar has some pretty good replacements..... all up I've spent just under $30 and have a reliable setup. Simple panel with a door lock switch and switch for the 2 windows. Did away with the window lock.

Just gotta grab another for the passenger's side now.

So is this the fix if your windows go one way and not the other? I have a passenger window in my five door that will only go one way, but if you switch the feed to the motor it works the other way round proving that the motor is OK.
