Yeah its getting there. I ended up scratch building a chassis for it then the owner has carried on with it. Its back to get a couple of things done. Its got an old 345cube International V8 which has an absolute drinking problem (3-4mile per gal!!!!) but idols at about 400rpm which sound fukn primo. Its still got heaps to go but at least it drivable 8)

What would be a rough cost for a set of side bars for a lwb 93 bighorn with no body lift?

Would prefer bolt on if poss.

Cheers

going down this road when I get back to my prado so be good if you can go into detail on the issues you have had etc, when you get time. mines off road only so thats half the issues fixed right there probably. love your work. and the fact you actually get it done quick

My advise would be dont go down that road  Absolute mission. Am going to be using a 130 Surf steering box which I am going to have to move a body mount to fit, Im also going to have to notch the chassis on the passengers side to get clearence for the draglink. There has been alot of head scratching and even more staring at it. Other than that its a piece of cake

Cos there isnt the clearance to fit the prado box. If I used the Prado box the pitman arm will foul on the tie rod and drag link. Things have got real f#$kn tight with the hi steer.
Why do you reakon its a step backwards? Other than the Prado has 4 bolts as oppossed to 3 on the Surf box. Am still using the Prado pit man arm.

Enjoyed doing this job  Didnt get a photo of it but the top end of the snorkel is capped, it draws its air from underneath the bit above the passengers door.
