2.8 TURBO
Re: 2.8 TURBO
no need to T the oil feed. if your using the 2lt turbo setup then the oil line can be bend around to fit the feed off the oil cooler.
if alt feed is from that location you can move the alt feed to obne of the several other oil feeds just behind the alt.
oil return needs to be straight back to sump. do not use the alt oil return, its frigen tiny!
i'll see if i can find a pic......

Re: 2.8 TURBO

down the bottom of the pic on the alloy housing is the oil take off point with the capping bolt in it. next to the oil pressure switch is the alt oil feed but they can be all swapped around.
the big silver looking pipe is my turbo oil return. that fits standard hose. next to it, that small pipe, is the alt return. just a wee bit of difference in size.
only thing i didn't look at was if you can remove the alt return and fit a much bigger one in its place.
Re: 2.8 TURBO
oh yup it looks good... ive got a ct26 turbo but that should matter about having oil feed like yours aye
Re: 2.8 TURBO
CT26 is a bit big, unless your trying for seriously big power.
the oil setup is the same but may not reach if your using an adapter onto surf manifold.

So instead of hunting down a 2lt oil housing can i use the 2lt oil line and run it from just below as you pointed out? cheers
Re: 2.8 TURBO
instead of swapping the oil housing you can bend the turbo oil feed to fit one of the existing oil outlets. there is a couple of write ups around of doing it that way.
just be careful bending the pipe and it pays to get it to line up perfectly before putting the bolts in. if you yank the line over and use the bolt to hold it in place fatigue can cause the line to break.
however there is also AN fitting for the CT20 so you can run your own flexible lines. look on ebay.

Re: 2.8 TURBO
awesome cheers for the info, i dont spose you know about the inlet side? i know i put the 2lt manifold on, but some 1 did mention something about removing butterfly etc?
Re: 2.8 TURBO
one small thing which someone may be able to answer.....
the stock turbo oil feed comes from the hot side of the oil cooler. all the other feed points are on the cold side.

I might just do the same and make up a new top intake pipe, Alot easy then removing manifold.
