4wd related, I used brute force to bend the top alty mount on the Lada. Now the belt is pretty much perfectly straight

Also took the head off my Mini. Pretty casual day tbh

Re: may 5th -6th
spent about a million hours pulling apart and unseizeing and rebuilding hundreds of idlers and tensioners to swap out the farked alternator thats full of woodhill alternator killing shit then spent another million hours tracing out the arb compressor wiring testing everything untill I found everything was ok and the stoopid relay had died
then fixed a pile of other small shit, cleaned the mud out of the radiator, checked all the fluids and pumped the tahs up all so I can take the truck out for a snotting tomorrow and then repeat the above process waterblasting it all down again fixing another pile of other shit

Re: may 5th -6th
Why don't you just put a manual switch in the cab?
Just look at the temp gauge, and if it's getting hot, switch the fan on and leave it on. Then if you come to some water, switch it off
That's what mine is like,a nd it's so damn simple, and works a treat

Re: may 5th -6th
Today I ground some rust off the Lada. Then painted over it. Fun stuff
Also figured out how to keep the bonnet up using a cable tie, and removed both the master cylinders. Guess I'll have to get round to getting some new ones sometime soon...

Its better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

yea Ive got a switch in the cab to switch them off for water crossings.
I want the thermo switch so I dont have to keep checking the guage.
Besides its alwase eventually gona happen where you forget to turn them on and there goes the headgasket.

for something so simple to hookup can save alot of heatake

Re: may 5th -6th

Hmm I guess so.
Then again, I'm sure that overheating was a factory option
