Funny that.. Was only reading thru that last nite. After fitting an aftermarket gauge I was surprised to see how wildly the temp would raise and fall depending on how hard the welly I gave it....
I recall many years ago the fan would roar after a hill climb or two... Now it doesn't... think my fan hub may need a tittle tlc...

i pulled my fan apart tonight and had a looksie at the adjustment inside it, it has two screws on slotted holes that change the valving but im buggered if i could get my head around which direction to move it,

in the end i just cranked it around to the other end of the slot and will refit tomorrow and go for a spin

There is more info in one of the links in that post.
You are supposed to adjust it when its at a certain temp...
They heat that half in a tub of water...
When it gets to that temp you turn the adjuster until it covers two small holes by 50%...
Then lock the screws. I wouldn't just crank it over or you may find its on all the time and just sucks power and over cools...

Just done this, fluid from BNT.
Needed about 20mls to get it to the levels as described in link.
Also adjusted the temp side of things.
Was 15 C (higher) different to link...So was coming in later.
Well next trip out well see if it roars when it gets hot ! Like it used too.
