vg30 to td27 info

Post by bigfoot »

hey.

has anyone on here done a engine swap in a terrano... ive got a vg30e and am thinking of bining it and putting in the td27.
What id like to know is what stuff i can keep if any eg: g-box and what stuff will need to be replaced eg:radiater. from what ive read on some other sites is i can keep the auto box as it will mate up. Engine mounts... how far off are they?? Can any be re-used or all need remade?

any info will be awsum but this may not even happen just waying up the options for now.

cheers dave.

The vg auto transfers are the stronger one out of the two.

if the bell housings are diffrent im sure you could find a td27 bellhousing to mate up.

nope your not the only one thinking it. i love my truck but dont like the large dent it puts in my wallet each week , and after looking a motors, gboxs and all the junk to come with, its way cheaper and hasel free to just buy a td27.

it was just an idea after all.

thanks for you in put.

if you can come up with enough cash to buy the new truck before you sell the old one it would be worth your while as everything else should interchange ok. Put the best seats, interior, wheels/tyres, bumpers etc all on the new one and flick the other one off.
