Watched a local in a high speed roll over and end over end whlist getting my mail at the Fire Station. So after doing the fireman thing I then got to recovery his surf which is rooted, on its roof wrapped around a 200x200RSH that holds a large sign up. had to winch the back off the sign then winch it forward to be able to roll it onto its wheels off now to load it onto the trailer .
The guy was beyond lucky he came out much better off than I thought he would, the roof is sitting just off the dash in front of the driver, there might be something in this driving drunk and not wearing a seat belt or it could be that driving at the posted speed whilst sober and with tread on your wheels would have been a better. There were also 3 very lucky tourists walking up the footpath who he only just missed on one of the flips

jeez Andy, you have shit luck with your trucks.

Well this arvo I finished the hubs on the Suzuki chassis and the brake pads, removed and cleaned the petrol tank from mine, put it in the new stainless bash plate and half mounted that. Just need to get some new drill bits tomorrow or sometime to finish mounting it.

Mucked around pulling my starter motor to replace with the spare I had. Then the spare wouldn't work.. Pulled it back out and bench tested it. Still no luck. Pulled it down and it's completely stuffed inside. All the brushes were worn down. So have put the original intermittently playing up one back in. Good way to waste a few hours

Well Today I managed to replace front disc rotor's, repack bearings, put in new seal's for the calliper's and new brake pads, first one took me awhile but flew through the second one, after that had a test and I think it was mission accomplished, very happy with result.

Sorry no photo's was to busy learning

More achieved in this weekend than even I had planned...

Fixed the 1U bearing as in previous post.

Installed LED interior lights in my Daily Caldina and the RX7 (they were free and was easier than buying new bulbs)

Replaced the steering sensor in the RX7, because it was causing the worlds most annoying beeping.

Fixed the boost cut in the RX7 after putting on my exhaust. (still fiddling with the adjustment on the fuel cut defender)

Fitted a snorkel to a mates Bighorn for next weekend (we going Woodhill).

And Washed the RX7 this arvo,

Thats far more than sitting on my ass like usual. its quite good when the GF goes away for the weekend.

Also went for a drive in the Convertable, with the top down, drove pase some girls (very young) and they yelled out "I LIKE YOUR CAR" I couldnt stop laughing ... damn rotary hoes !

Had a weekend up Minginui with the Twin Diff Club. Good weekend tho most of the good tracks have been logged at some point so lots of turning around going back up those "i hope we dont have to climb back up this" parts  And a fair bit of chainsaw action. Went to wipe the mud spray off the windscreen and ended up seeing less, really should change the wiper blades but don't think im qualified enough. Actually you must need a good qualification these days, last time the Mrs' car went for a WOF they charged $45+labour to change 3 wiper blades!! I was like wtf you surely must be joking me

Sorry they didn't work out for you juz. could you use a coil spacer to lift it 50mm or however much more?
my 35's rubbed on both side, though the creepies are a little wider i guess.
what air system you using? a/c pump? running a tank?

And for my weekend, my Meth/water injection kit finally arrived! :D so chucked it on, seems promising after only doing 25 odd km. ie, you can keep your foot up it for quite a bit longer than before!! needs tidying up and tuning, also a 2nd nozzle kit has been ordered for a pre turbo one.
Now to rebuild my new hubs i got off mudlva and fit them up with the new brakes that i found i needed when road testing...

Any automotive upholstery place will fix up the damaged seat base. Its always the drivers seat. I have three sets of seats, the drivers is wrecked and the passengers is mint on all of them.

Seeing as its the weekend achievement thread, what did I do??

Worked on the Wombat:

Stripped and prepped the Alloy hard top and etch primed.
Straightened the drivers side canvas door frame which was damaged from a roll over and all bent out shape and mocked into position on the truck.
Painted the topcoat on top too late in the day when the air temp was a tad cold, needed fan heater to get paint to gloss nicely. Looks pretty average :(

Sunday Unmasked the hard top, & fitted to wombat which was a prick of job by myself with out scratching the paint to much

Mocked the canvas door frames in position with the hard top on and realised the drivers door needed more adjustment of the cut and weld type.

That sorted, I had to get creative and build myself 4 hinges to fit the doors that picked up the factory hinge points on the windscreen frame and fire wall. Dammed if I could find anyone over here or in Ozz that had a complete set of door hinges they would part with.

Packaged up the old door skins and frames and stuck them in the van ready to get reupholstered this week :D :D

Make over time:
