intercooler fan on 1990 mk1 paj

Post by pajero1983 »

does anyone know when this little fan under my intercooler is ment to kick in. I know when its hot lol but what controles it to switch on and off as never seen it work and would be nice to get it going. thought about just wiring a relay to a switch in cab but would be good to get it going factory.

There's a temp sensor in the intercooler. Fan is supposed is supposed to turn on when intake temp reaches a certain level (I think its 55deg from memory).

Easy job to hard wire it and have it manually switched.
I even put a water sprayer on my intercooler as well.
