loving the build

Re: The Pavlova
Shit, had to dig a while to find this
Hooked the steering up and bled the brakes and made an exhaust.
Drove it out of the shed
But I have a misfire, cylinder # 3, so have taken the inlet manifold chamber off to get the fuel injectors to get them cleaned. Hopefully thats what it is.

Oh and a rear brake is binding, clutch needs adjusting and a host of other things
Put the springs I wanted in the front and now its higher than I want!! I have 3 inches to bump stops in the front and a 2 inch body lift (needed to fit engine). I might just put the shorter springs in and put up with it resting on the bump stops. In hindset I didn't get the chassis right when it was built, needed more taper down on it. Its a bit nose high but don't want to lift it any more at the back!

Re: The Pavlova
Im going to take all my injectors to "Harrex Downing & Little" in Dunedin. I gave them a call and should be between $65 and $100 to get all 8 flow tested and I think they check the "spray" as well.
Sorry no spares
Do you mind me asking who your going to use? I got Graeme Fitzpatrick involved early with my project but now apparently he has retired...
Cheers,
Pete

Re: The Pavlova
You cannot underestimate my sneakiness!! Um, any troubles, well it's running a bit cool unless I leave the fans off, so thermostat is crook, exhaust has a dozen leaks
, drivers seat a bit high, or maybe im a bit tall!, head is in the roof. All it needs for cert is driveshaft hoop and cover, tidy the wiring. Oh and the speedo stopped part way through, it's a bit short! Was impressed with the brakes!

Re: The Pavlova
Glen, I noticed you forgot to mention our little 3 wheeling moment towards the start of the test run
. I was very impressed with its stability though, not a hint of body roll but still soaked the bumps nicely. (I was lucky enough to take it for a spin that day). Good to see a long term project getting finished and not used as a storage space in the back of the shed!

Yea I was going to leave that bit out of nearly rolling it after only driven it for 3 minutes...

Its just a 2.5 inch system, single pipe with one good size muffler from magoo's, no idea what it is. It doesn't drone inside which is the main thing!
