80 series cruiser

Post by Jacko »

hi.

am wondering whether there are many 80 series landcruisers kitted out for decent off roading?

am considering one for 4wd/camping use...ideally fitting out the truck with a fold up bed etc... have many people done this...is it a realistic option?

currently have a swb safari.

how do the lwb prados compare?
also, how would a surf compare - say 94-98?

thanks for any advice.

If the camping thing is high on the priority list go with the 80, or a lwb Patrol. There is enough room to sleep in lwb 78 series prados and surf's, but it is a bit tight. 90 series Prado's arte no good to sleep in beacuse of the way the seats fold up. With an 8 seater the seating all folds sort of flat (not very comfy though)

LWB cruisers and patrols can be made very capable club style trucks.

My 2c any way.
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!
