Thanks Malcolm

from gate to bridge is slippery in some places but managable
from bridge to houses is not too bad as theres metal down
from houses to green hut is slippery and was graded by tractor today so may be even more slippery
2wd ute towing trailer didn't make it up there today
HIGHLY ADVISABLE to unload vehicles from trailers behind 2wd vehicles

Love the look of the long range weather report!!
SNOW, RAIN, COLD! COLD!! COLD!!! WET ....
This is gonna be a real challenge this year, the hard dry conditions of the first two Kiwi challenges are just NOT going to happen!!
Note to self, bring best sleeping bag and best raincoat!!!

bring ya walking shoes with spikes so ya dont fall over on the tracks
theres not much spectator friendly areas close to the access roads, so you will be walking to get to them
bring a camera so we can steal your pics after you've walked into the awesome areas

9AM is when you have to be there to start, but YOU have to be there for scrutinizing by 7:30am.

Re: Kiwi 4x4 Challenge 2012
Hey just a quick question:
have you sorted a WRC key so the chain can be taken off the RW gate as we did at the winch challenge last Nov so other parties cant untie the open gates from the warratahs and try and lock it while teams, competitors, support people, officials, marshalls, spectators, ambulances
and any anyone else I've missed are coming and going during the event as they tried during the Nov winch comp

Right, I am all loaded and ready to roll, food shopping then I am heading in.
Please remember that there may be 2 way traffic on the road heading to Rallywoods as well as logging trucks coming the other way!! Speed limit is 30 kms and it is recommended that you say at 30 kms once on Bullsrun Road.
Cheers

It goes without saying, that this event would not of happened without the support of those who came and made new tracks, those who came and marshalled, those who came and competed and those who supported the event by way of sponsorship............
Horowhenua Metal Sprayers
Repco Paraparaumu
Apparel Master
Bartercard

and also a big thanks to Rallywoods 4x4 Park for allowing us to trash the place yet again and cut new tracks all over the place.
apologies if I've missed anyone

cuzzy Dion having a lie down on hamburger hill

a lonely truck with the co-driver watching from the end of the bog and the driver taking some time out from his busy day to have a piss even though the end of the stage is only 5m in front of him

when you can't sleep and you get up at 5am to light the fire, this is what the moon looks like going down between the clouds
