Its a rangie74 two door chassis,s3 landrover truck cab will have a full exo that works into a tube frame rear tray.will bob rear chassis in line with the rear wheels.its set up with the 4spd rr man box, but may go the auto way.will use a 3.9rover worked v8 .will use the rr f&r diffs to begin with to keep build costs to the budget ive set.so i can get out into the mud sooner rather than later, then modify from there.
As we all have to start some where.so was not looking for advice on what would be best but more like what can get me going.cheers

Well if all you want to do is get going just run with the rr suspension

Yep, they flex pretty well in factory form.

If you are on a budget. Easiest way to improve the articulation is by dropping the shock mounts by 2". This will give you a further 2" down travel.
But trade off is the shock will now reach its upper travel limit before the axle tube hits the bump stop so you'll need to extend your bump stops thus losing some upwards travel.

Cheers for that.
Its strange how most people confuse the word budget with not wanting to spend any money
So if i used some 2or 3"longer shocks would that give me the extra down travel but not effect my up travel

In real life, extra travel down doesn't make a truck that much more capable because there is very little if any pressure on the tyre from the spring with a standard setup.
