Re: 9-10th June
stripped, cleaned and got ready to paint interior of the Suzuki, then the rain came and that idea went down the drain. Still rest of the weekend I suppose.

I have received the rock sliders which I got from GotFlex on here, I have to slightly modify them, but Iam very happy with them, can not wait until they are on the truck.

Re: 9-10th June
Fitted a set of 2in Terrain Tamer flexy flares today. Bought some zinc plated self trappers and washers.
The inner lip on the flare could really be a lot bigger to allow the drilled holes to be further inboard on the guard and on the flare. They look very good, much better than the edging flares and being flexible I hope they don't get ripped off as easily.
Took a couple of hours all up from start to finish. Used 30 screws/washers which cost $10 from Placemakers.

Re: 9-10th June
Finished putting the pto winch back together with the proper oil....
Gee its like honey......See how long it lasts....
Also my Transgo auto valve body upgrade kit arrived from the states...
Time to drop the valve body and change the balls and springs..
Up the internal pressure and open up some holes in the plate...
And some changes to the accumulators.
Has two settings truck and hotrod.. Will go truck at this stage....
Had a play with the manual pump.... Pissed about with the boost compensater
Nice and smooth now thru the rev range and not like hitting a power band at highish rpm's
All in all a great day...And Sunday still to go....

Re: 9-10th June
got super technical this weekend and managed to figure out how to fit the roof racks I scored of trade me. dam proud I am.
still to scared to atempt the wiper blades.
had a first atempt at plastic welding the ruff way (zip ties as filler and a gas solder iron) to make an air box fit under the bonnet in prep for a snorkel next month. prity happy with the outcome, will slap some sealant at it also just to seal it up.

Sealed the indicators to stop leaks and condensation. Washed the truck. Cleaned the mud out of the engine bay.

Spent 3 hours skinning knuckles and pinching fingers in an attempt to replace the handbrake shoes in the Prado. Replaced all the damaged pins and springs, adjusted up the cable and now have a working handbrake. There aint a lot of room in there...

Re: 9-10th June
Sunday :
Went to Wood Hill , wasn't my best work, Got stuck in some sand,
on tip of a hill , Spend far to much time to get it out
* need to get some gear, winch, air jack, or something
.
lined up a hill wrong, bounced of the side,
got some air time, landed, popped left front tyre of the rim,
and lost steering , Broke power steering box spline
,
I thought only Lancruisers did this ?
Got to say a Big thanks to The JEEP CLUB guys who were doing Safey Patrol, and Roger for being so friendly and made sure everyone was safe even tho I was holding everyone up
If any of the JEEP club members read this, please PM me, As i Need give the guys that gave us a hand, a Box of beers , as a token of appreciation.
