Probably depends on the weight of your vehicle as to what the best pressure is. I settled on 32-33 psi for the Jeep.

As for wear after 25K tyres were half worn not that we have been easy on them either, sometimes running them low as 23psi on the road (fitted with tubes). Excellent tyre off road but noisy on road and wear not that great but good for a budget tyre.

I'd run 'em at 40psi for longer trips, or low 30's around town. More pressure = better mileage, both fuel and tyres (to a point, don't be silly) but give less grip and a firmer bouncier ride, less pressure will do the opposite.

tyre shop had them at 43psi and you could see only the centre of the tyre was wearing, the outers still had the wee chicken nipples from new. it was almost bowed out.

i have reduced to 35psi and now i get overall contact. seems to be ok.

i reduce to around 20psi when offroad.

Most tyres wear the shoulders off these days, it seems unusual that the center only was wearing. What width rims are they on? And what Vehicle?

Ah, ok. The stock steelies are a normally little narrow for a 10.5. That's most likely why it is wearing the centers.

I have a set of 31s on my safari, not sure how many kms they have done but are wearing very well. A little noisy on the road as mentioned.
