"beast" you've gotta start talking to "turoa" on here hes in wellington and hes doing similar stuff landrcuiser diffs and coils hes got a 202? holden in it.......hes doing all the work to it now
This machine has striped down landrover springs in the front and custom made leaves in the back. All the springs are flat as that provides more suspension travel. Anti tramp bars are fitted in the back. I am looking for a set of landcruiser shocks for it at the moment as the ones in there are to light and causing axle hop on steep climbs. Turoa I noticed in another forum topic that you were interested in an auto conversion, This vehicle has a TH350 auto in it and know of a trimatic and a powerglide to landrover transfer case conversion. A guy from CCVC done his own trimatic conversion. My landrover looks a mess at the moment as it has been sitting for a while after breaking the transfer case towing a landcruiser with a dead clutch out of surprise at rallywoods. I plan to have it all up and running for labour weekend as a mate is coming up to play in the dunes at Foxton here. If anyone from this forum is going to be there I would like to meet up for a bit of a play. Cheers.......Beast
The Landy was a 4cyl petrol, the 40 was a 3B with turbo - went well but was hard for the wife to steer around town so traded it in on a 70 series that we kept for 9 yrs we liked it so much
