I went over some older ramp tests and you truck was the same as mine back then, and ramp test arent always the best placing of well preforming trucks. i was impressed with you truck it loks the part and some exelent engerneering on the rear hook. Hope to see you out and about in the future.

Also had setup a pto winch from the manual box for the 2010 thermal thunder in hamner, which when now i look back on it was a bit micky mouse  the rear drive shaft from the r150 transferbox ran into another transfer box from a r150 that was flipped backwards the flange that would have gone to the front now went to the rear diff and the input shaft was the pto output which went to the winch. See what i mean  it worked well but was slow unless dead winching.

We did the thermal thunder winch challence 2010 had a bit of a crap run, somehow managed to wrap the winch rope round the front drive shaft, oh it is rear mounted, then smashed a front cv learning about lockers and when to have them in and out the lost all compressed air wich put us out for the day ended up 7th from 8. First vid is of the compitition 2nd has my comp rig thanks of simon 4wd TV.

After the thermal thunder the truck was looking a bit sad so thought i would take it off the road and give it a spruce up. then the misses kicked up a stink and wanted her vehicle finished was a year and a half in to the build. Needless to say hilux was on the back burner.

In the time i was building the surf i thought about what i wanted from my hilux it was the same time we were orginasing the top of the south winch challenge. I wanted a winch comp truck with coil springs so i whacked some radius arms on the rear diff and some std 80 series cruiser springs. this turned out to be an idea that would get changed once again.

After having a catch up with Jim (DA RAM) and numerous talks with Craig Craigs 4WD about suspension setups i decided that a 4link with panhard for the front was the best option. After laying under the truck imagining, planing and a little measuring i drew some plans of where my arms should go, then i checked and changed things so they wouldnt hit. finally i got out with the grinder and plasmer.
