FS: 93 SWB Manual PAJERO- Manawatu Area

Post by Cameron »

Got a company mobile now, and I haven't used this thing much in the last month so I'm thinking, why not make my life worse/more interesting/punish myself buy perhaps buying a dirty old landrover. I've got 3 other cars to look after so I can't really just buy another and keep this.....

1993 SWB pajero in green. some bush scratches. Clear coat becoming a little flakey in patches on the left hand side.
Has a bit of grot in the left rear corner near the back door which I'll sort. the carpet's all blotchy and faded as the last owner had a 20litre of bleach spill in the back and left for a couple of weeks before he drove the car again and noticed.
Passengers side front floor gets wet (think the screen's leaking) if you don't park it facing downhill. weird.
3.0L V6, uses a little oil (what mitsi doesn't) doesn't use any water or get hot. Ticks away sometimes (one sticky lifter) when cold but I never run any additives so some MLB8 would sort that out if it was a problem. Not smokey as like a lot of these.
A/C blows nice and cold.
Transfer case works like it should, however it's a little whiney.
Gearbox can be a bit notchy.
Will be changing the oils in both of these, plus the diffs in the next couple of weeks which will likely help both of these issues.
has dryballs as 2" electronic suspension raising feature which is actually really handy at times.

has ~25k old 31" Hankook dynapro MT's. little wear from new etc etc.

has an intermittent ABS fault that I, and nobody else have been able to trace. Doesn't throw the light up. (can get around it by just unplugging it if it's a pain in the arse   I do whilst off road anyways)
Have a spare ABS computer, G-Sensor etc and it never made any difference. wheel sensors are all working fine and shit. no idea. just gives weird feel in the brake pedal over 70 or 80kph. not dangerous or anything :) either way it's not a big deal to repipe the necessary shit to turn it back to normal braking.

I've written the most horrible description of it that I can in order to be as above board as possible.
In reality I used to clock up some good miles in this thing trouble free until I switched jobs at Easter. Now I use it occasionally in the weekend. I've much more of a desire to get an older wagon to hack round in, and that's the only reason I'd want to sell this thing. It goes everywhere I want it to (I'm surprised at it fairly often) and has been reliable as I could ask for in a daily driver. That's not my style though so I'm after something much more questionable and life ruining, so help me out :)

Would love $4k.

Have another try at this.
Had some rot professionally fixed in the front LH pillar. Looked surface rust as but I had a dig and it turned into a hole which grew under the windscreen trim.
Rot in left rear corner is also sorted like a sorted thing.
Screen out, got it fixed, paint matched etc etc.
Had a new screen which lasted a couple of weeks and then got a nice big stonechip  . WOF is due this month so will get another new screen fitted and a new wof put on the bugger.
Changed all the oils and gearbox shifts mint now. Think they had the wrong grade in there.

Keen to get into an older landrover or something. I rarely use this now and I'm more into my old junk than this modern gear.

looking for offers around $3500/WHY/LD28 Landrover would be amazing..
