3" rear spring lift in LN130

Post by skux »

Have a ln130 that im trying fit 35"s too. Thinking of a 2-3" body lift also can get my hands on new 3" lift springs for the rear.

Any thoughts?

you will be pushing to get 3" out of the independent front. maybe 2 inch's and even then you will probably break front diffs or cv's with tyres that big and that much lift.

to run bfg 35s on my surf i had a 90mm body lift,50mm lift springs n the rear as well as 50mm coil spacers and then in the front i had slightly wound up torsions with 1"ball joint spacers.it all worked but still had slight scrub up front on full lock and twisted up.the back could have been slightly lower but the front could of also been slightly higher

heres what it looked like <<<-------

new filler and breather hoses to the fuel tank,2 new radiator hoses longer and slightly different shape to original.lifted gearbox 50mm i think it was as well as tunnel trim to make sticks work properly and remove front handbrake clamp and loosen the 2nd i think it was.also installed steering shaft spacer.......think that's about it

Just grabbed some 80 series LC standard springs so I'll chuck them in back to get some lift. It's the backs I use can some one confirm? Cheers

Definatly too much youd have to hack into your top arms to get the balloint spacers to fit also with droping the diff that much to not root your cvs you really want to mod your xmember to lower front of diff otherwise itll hang down and be the lowest point also the side shaft to the cvs whatever they are called would foul on lower suspension arms on atric.
i had a look for my 1 inch spacers but have not located them yet but will keep looking
edit, to succesfuly run 35s on a surf you really need to bin the ifs crap and chuck a solid front axle from a prado in as itl pay for itself buy way of saving having to replace cvs, diff, week steering components etc all the time as even with 33s this can happen if not gentle whislt offroad

ok so yeah.25mm ball joint spacers maximum.no I'm not the guy on t.m but have sold stuff on there before.mine are currently still in the truck but will be coming out very soon as I'm doing a SAS.also just realised ive still got my snorkel kicking around somewhere if your interested.

Image

made from 3" ms exhaust tube .will need a lick of paint and some better mounting tabs welded on but nothing much. I wont need it any more as I'm going twin 4" for the v8 this time round so.let me know what you think its all worth to you and we can go from there, mobs 02102789016 if txt is easier.as for shaft..answers no.. I did 3.5" and had a 90mm spacer to return spline to correct amount of contact, I know people get away with it when doing a 2" lift but you shouldn't.again, not that I'm giving you answers to suit me but I also have the steering extension available as now ive dropped my lift I wont need it in there, well not 1 that's 90mm.if your not keen I'll just be trimming this one down to suit 50mm lift so I'm not fused if it doesn't go.will save me making another one

Lj78 prado rear hose is what i used.
Never went tight with 4inch lift rear and no sway bar and long travel shocks, see my build for flex shots
