Looking for folks experince's

Post by Suza »

I am about to replace my tires and would like to hear from folks who have or are running the below in 33's, I am interested in how long they lasted, handling, issues that you may have struck

GT Radial Savero MT
GT Radial Adventuro Mt
Maxis Bighorn

I have narrowed it down to the above as price wise there is no real differnce for me, I currently have the Savero MT and they have done me well

I drive a LWB Safari and do a lot of on road and off road miles, I drive in snow alot, mud, farms on and off track, bush tree roots and some river bed stuff

Thanks for your time

Used maxis bighorns at work. Got some good k's out of them, not hugely impressed with off road grip.

i have always had a good run with the gt savero mts.(not the adventuros)
Found they work really well on gravel and in the clay based mud we have down here. Got 85000k out of my last set. And they are a true 33x12.5

Big fan of the Maxxis Bighorns. Had them on my old LWB Prado. Quiet, plenty of grip offroad and on and seemed hard wearing... maybe Smurf can elaborate more on how they are going

New tyres arrived today so i fitted them up and had a measure against a Maxis Mudder and a Bighorn and am glad that I got the Savero as the maxis tyres were about 25mm smaller and about 25mm narrower.

I believe Maxxis changed the compound in the bighorns to a softer rubber.
I imagine this will make them wear a lot faster. bit of a pity. damn good all round tyre
