hey guys i have had a look in the toold shed here and there are some great posts
but this post has to be one of the lamest i will post up
im looking for a hand to do a body lift on my 80s land cruiser
im in auckland out whitford and im just looking for someone with knowledge as im still new to the whole 4wd world i would rather not muck it up

real reason : im to poor to afford the suspension and coil lift and all i need it to raise the body 50mm to clear the 33" i have

Yep
you might get away with wof's at some places but any change or modification to body mounts requires low volume certification

find the money and do it properly thru suspension lifts
you should fit 33s without any lift, so if they don't fit now your suspension must have sagged heaps and sounds like it needs replacing anyways
my 80 has 50mm susp lift and fits 35s easy

go for a 1" body lift, easy as. 2" body lift you have got a heap of things to adjust on an 80 - radiator mounts, extension on steering shaft, bumpers/barwork, gearbox tunnel mods etc.
