FJ40 with a chev and auto trans i guess? long trans so short prop shaft. the damage usually starts with a dent or tube damage then a bounce or big bite of traction twists them up like spaghetti. i think everyone should have one of those trophys, i have 2

front and rear...then i upgraded prop shaft tube size and wall thickness so it wont happen again

the best part about doing a DS is that it is super easy to make a new one when you are in the middle of no where :D .
Axles and diff heads etc, not so much.

Got any photos of that fix Rok? definitely would be easier to fix than a diff or axle but would still take a bit of imagination....

The longer the driveshaft the weaker they are, shorter driveshafts are stronger unless you happen to have a spring over axle conversion (like us) and then end up with extreme uni angles. We fixed that by running one of those 60 series double unis and have never twisted up a driveshaft or broken a uni since.

The first thing that usually breaks is the pinion which isnt so bad to change if you've gota full floating rear end.

This damage was caused doing wheelstands on the tarseal... 37's and lockers give quite a bit of traction.
