Gidday Jerry, I would love to turn it into a ute but the main damage is in the front pillars, and the roof above the windscreen, completely pushed in. Otherwise its in good nick mechanically, 130ks on it, never been off road until a mates wife rolled it and the hubby used it on the farm.

Plan is, cut roof to eliminate damage, weld cage in, cut rear end off, then shorten chassis, move fuel tank, big rubber and lockers. Possibly repower in the future. Good farm toy :)

That sounds like awful hard work! Its much easier to cut things off than it is to put things on :) That and finding a new tub in good nick isnt easy.

There is another possible outcome, put the diff centres in my daily driver LWB patrol to run big rubber, and hock the rest off as parts? Decisions decisions. What would you do?

If the running gear is still good..chop it up, put a towing frame on it and drag it around with the LWB as a mud truck. And if the LWB ever dies youve got plenty of spare bits to keep it going :P

Plenty of ute chopped ones around..but havent seen a roofless im guessing if the a pillars are bent you cutting the screen out too. Put a cage over where the A and B pillars would be and angle down to the floor at the base of the C pillar should look alright. Maybe make a flip down windscreen landrover stylez :P

Thats the plan, since the pillars are buggered a cage is the go. Not sure about the fold down windscreen though! Will put a pick up soon since you reckon you've never seen a roofless one :)

Well I started cutting and forgot to stop. Shes now bobtailed. Excuse the boat tank and temporary fuel lines, need them to keep her mobile in and out of shed until fuel cell arrives

Thanks Coxy, don't know what went on there? Had I linked it wrong?

Tarmac I've had to put the grinder back in the tool cupboard before I get any more carried away. Now that I've done the back , it's just not fair to leave the front hanging out like that. Grinder away before I do something dumb :)
