I was in there Queens birthday. Came in from the staircase end. Didn't get to the Chasem but a gruop of quad bikes passed us. I know they did the whole thing but had to winch their bikes down into the Chasem and out again.

Why didn't you get to the chasm, because it has been driven ?

If you are going to winch your way down, I think the best place is down river a bit from the old track. That is where we originally thought about putting the track and that is now the best place for a new track because it won't get washed away so easy in the next flood.

Thanks Richard. I pointed the Mid Canty Club in the right direction with me sitting at the back of the pack. One of the guys bend his steering arm mid way in so I sayed with him to help out straighten it and we headed back out after that. The five other trucks decided to carry on after me saying "its not very nice coming out of here in the dark" but they went and got to the clay clearing before the Chasem after breaking 1x Hilux CV and popping 2x tryes. I did a bit of triming on the way out with the main group coming out around 6pm. You helping the Crackett boys out with the tnt? Cheers Nig

Hi Richard when you say you think the best place to winch down in to chasm is down stream a bit... are you talking the grey side or the clark side of the chasm??
