5l turbo kit

just wondering if anyone knows of a place that sells turbo kits to fit the 5L. i got a quote from someone and they said 3500 just for the kit.

bulletproofs hilux thread might be worth a look ... he supercharged his
70 series prado (KZJ78) and 90 Series Prado (KZJ95)

yea id rather a intercooled turbo system if it possiblle but cheers

Turbo and manifold from 2lte and exhaust mod and sump mod, cost you a few hundred all up

anyone got any ideas of a intercolled system that wouldbolt straight on tho?

was wondering the same thing ive got 1kz-te hilux and was told top mount intercooler of prado will bolt straight on cheeper than custom

the 2lt turbo setup is as close to bolt on as you can get without spending big $$$$$. The manifolds bolt straight on. You only need to change the exhuast at the turbo and put a return pipe into the sump. and tee in an oil feed

as your truck is not a intercooled model there will be a bit of dicking around to make it fit. you've either gota make up pipe work for a front mount or cut great hole in youre bonnet for top mount. very unlikly you'll get something that will bolt straight on

Hey mate i got 03 lux with a 5l im turboing
I got a 2lte manifold and turbo a 2lt intake manifold and a 2lt oil cooler( bit oilfilter screws onto for oil feed) and custom drain into sump im also intercooling it front mount as its easier and heaps of room. Using a 4m40 fuel pump to tune it better and lose efi pump. All up its cheaper than a kit from oz and kits dont have intercoolers

previous 5l on 14psi with our set up 110kw at rears approx 4g inc full 2.5inch exhaust
