as far a comparison between silverstone and simex the silverstones have bigger voids between both the centre blocks and outside blocks and are a softer compound

Sizing is another consideration, especially if you want the 36'sX12.5 which is an advantage of the Simex and size does matter.
But the larger lug spacings of the silverstone equals more grip in a comparison size, which is important if you are restricted to the smaller tire sizes.
Silverstones should also be easier to bag with the the softer compound.
It is a tough comparison as both are so similar.
You will also need to consider the weight of your rig and how often you plan on replacing them.
If you 4wd in Queenstown the rocky terrain may also be a consideration for you
They are both popular tires. I have never run silverstones but find the simexes (36X12.5) great in the goo.

I have noticed a move towards the silverstones but Im not sure weather its because of price of performance..and I have noticed the top guys starting to use them and cant fault them really..compared to the simex..
I had 1 run on them and can say they are awesome but cant really compare to anything else as I havnt had anything else.. if that makes sence..lol time will tell.. cheers

Ive probably done 8000km on them and they wouldnt be down to 10mm. On a heavier Vehicle, Safari 80series etc I imagine road kms would be alot less though.
