I've just bitten the bullet and got front lockers as well which I'm told you need for those really challenging carparks  Apart from some rock sliders which I've ordered, I think that'll do me for a while. I know Surf's probably aren't the most capable offroader having a long wheelbase but I wanted to be able to sleep in the back while hunting etc.

nope definitely not the most capable (thats LR) but one of the most capable trucks for nz tourers/club trucks and as you pointed out you can sleep in it  good luck with the old girl.

Hey just thought ide ad mu 2cw, I have a 185 surf and love it! They actually have a really short wheel base (belive it or not). Especially when comparing to a double cab hilux or something similar. IMO thats what holds them back as there is such a large overhang out the bum. Anyway its a small price to pay and easily fixed with lockers etc. Keep it up mate.
