TD42 blow by

Guys just checking what blow by those of you with turboed td42s are getting. My breather hose is poking out a fair bit of fumes even at idle so I assume with plenty of boost its gonna be chuffing it out. Not ever had a comp test done but wondering what "normal" should be like and whether my comp rings might be tired? Gott 300,000 on the clock but could have more I suspect.

mine was blowing by really good, still had 300psi compression,check your glow plugs to see if they are still whole high boost when cold they break and drop into cylinder,

compression test it. turbo's make blowby worse which can pressurize the sump and blow oil out past the crank and turbo seals.

myne pumps out a fair bit. did not get any worse after I fitted a turbo. I would be more concerned about checking condition of bigend bearings before fitting a turbo
