Spent today swinging the chainsaw out6 at friends farm. Cut 6m3 of fire wood and then dropped a strip of beech 10m x 70m for a new lane way for the dairy conversion.
Had a heap of fun including a 100m winch in wet clay upto my knees :D with a 2ton trailer on

Played round with the rear bar on the Lada. Just need to drill holes for the mounts now. I also made up templates for the two lower mounts, so will get those made up soon too.

Slowly getting there... 8)

Well I was going to put on the bead balanced Simex's today.. But its raining outside so it can wait.....
So I have adjusted my castor after slotting the holes a bit more than when I had bent radius arms and slotted holes...
Now I have factory radius arms....dont want to bend them to make it fit.... Easier to slot the hole some more and weld on a washer to hold bolt in position... It feels better so if I like it will weld up the hole properly...
Otherwise its trolling the internet looking a truck p*rn....

Got my Truck back from sibainmud on Saturday morning after dropping it off to him as I need a few bits done, mostly a wire tidy up in the engine bay.

The result a very happy chappy with the results so a big thank you to sibainmud.

If you have any small items that need doing then I would see him.

Cheers.

spent the weekend researching for the best way to do the power steering on the land rover. took the winch i picked up for free apart and dropped the motor/solenoid pack to sibainmud for him to look over. he also lent me temporary rims so i don't have to sit my new axels on the discs when they arrive hopefully this week. then work can start on it rather then looking/dreaming. :D

Bought a whale from chch last week, been cleaning it all week (dust everywhere) it went from brown interior to grey :) pulled back carpet out as had heaps of grease under it, pulled out rear seat mounts and belts, got bigger flares to suit 37" tyres, tried tyres... They rub, even tho apparently they don't, so going down to 35's. those creapy crawlers worth a bit of cash, so got 5 with maybe 1000k's or less balanced on pretty much new rims if anyone keen. Took truck for cert on thurs, and it flew through! Pics to come
