D.B will be doing a final head count and detailed where and when nearer to labour weekend.

the trip will be starting at pureora HQ on the saturday morning of the 21st at around 9am

Arrrgh, does every one have dial up or something. Reposted from page seven :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Saturday

Meet at Pureora Forestry HQ 9am.

Trip briefing and vehicle checks.

Depart 9:30ish for Nagroma block.

Mid-late afternoon and set up camp (staking our claim ), go for a play in un-laden vehicles, or back to forestry HQ to camp. Will determine on the day.

Sunday

Day briefing and short training session or tech discussion on driving techniques or recovery techniques or something else 4x4 related

Drive the fire breaks or road to Rainbow Mountain. Head over the Rainbow Mountain track, and then head round to Lake Ririwhakaitu. Follow the track round the lake and set up camp for the night.

Monday

Day briefing and short training session or tech discussion on driving techniques or recovery techniques or something else 4x4 related

Head up towards Whakatane off road
We have some contingencies if the weather makes the going tough

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DJ =3days
Wopass = 3days
DB = 3days
NZHunter = 3days

brianr70 = 2days (Sun, Mon)
Moriarty = 2days (Sat, Sun)
Guppy = 2days (Sat, Sun)
Guppies Mate = 2days (Sat, Sun)
Callum = 2days (Sat, Sun)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Minimum Vehicle Requirements will have to be along the lines of:
-good tow points front and rear
-mud tyres
-snatchstrap
-fire extinguisher
-first aid kit

We will try and base what we do around the vehicles and how they are equiped, as usual

Be prepared for damage to front and rear corners, heavy brush marks/scratches, and more.

If the lake level is up, a radiator blind may be good if you don't have a snorkle.

Tow hook mounting strength may be tested to the limit if vehicles become stuck round the lake. That ones from experience (so make sure you have well mounted hooks)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is not an official O.R.E 4x4 Association Inc. trip, but we will all still be representing O.R.E

Ahh, thats to bad Callum. Next time for sure :D

I'm quite keen to head down on Friday after the Navigator finishes work, saves the early morning start on Saturday.

If we do that, we will still meet everyone at 9am at the forestry HQ, so won't affect anything :wink:

Cut of date for RSVP has to be wednesday, if numbers get up to high we may have issues :? :? So far so good though :D :D :D :D :D

Rock on Labour Weekend!!!!!!!!!
